Okay, so this is my first crack at Preston Blair. I really love the indignant, "put out" attitude of the pose and facial expression of this old owl -really cracked me up so I thought it would be fun to draw. I have to say that I never have paid the least, teansy-tiny bit of attention to the actual "construction" of a character while drawing.

This apperently age-old method of starting with basic shapes for the head, body, legs and wings made drawing this thing so much more enjoyable than my usual method: draw, erase. draw, erase.
